The Naan and Butter Chicken

The Naan is so good. The weird thing is that the bread gets cold really fast so just eat the whole thing in 5 seconds if you can. The Butter Chicken is just ok but it's frozen food so what do you expect.

The rice is gross.

                                            So yum. These are a snacking staple.

I would buy this again and again. I love anything mushroom. 

                                                       SO GOOD. Chipwich eat your heart out.

Chart House

This the view from the front of the restaurant.....

We went to the Chart House for our 2 year anniversary. The boyfriend picked the place out so naturally I had low expectations. I had never been or heard of Weehawken. Once we pulled up to the restaurant and I saw the view, I was sold. The place has one of the best views of Manhattan. It was so cold I snapped quick pic of the view and ran inside.

Cedar Plank Salmon

Chart House has a demure feel. The whole restaurant is focused on the view of the city and there really isn't a bad seat in the house. I had the Cedar Plank Salmon. The salmon was so flavorless and dry. The rice was extremely under cooked. The green beans were delicious just a bit over cooked. This dish was not worth money and was such a let down.

Steak

The steak was cooked to perfection and very flavorful. 

Hot Chocolate Lava Cake

This dessert was alight. Not work the money though. I would go back to Chart House only for the view. The food is over priced but the view is priceless. Tourists would love it.

Fornos of Spain

This restaurant is amazing. Parking in Newark can be daunting but there is a parking lot in back of the restaurant for customer's only. Valet. We went on a Saturday and the restaurant was packed. The waiting area was pure mayhem and there was hardly any room to stand. The wait was about 20 minutes. Not bad.

Salad

The whole menu is meat. Chicken. Steak. Lobster. Shrimp. If you are a vegan you gonna stay hungry. They bring you bread and salad while you are waiting for your meal. 

Porterhouse Steak and Potato's

                               My boyfriend had the steak. He loved it. What else is new?

Lobster in White Sauce

The lobster in white sauce was amazing. So yum. So melt in your mouth delicious. I have dreams about this dish.

The table is given vegetables, thinly sliced potatoes, and yellow rice. The rice and vegetables are blah but the potatoes are so delicious. They are nice and soft in the middle and crispy on the edges.

The feel of the restaurant is old school, Newark, Jersey. Feels like home. The dress code is whatever you feel like wearing.

Tartufo

                                            The tartufo was alright. Nothing special.

Fornos of Spain is $$$$ but the food is so good you won't be worried about the bill. Give it a try and let me know what you think.
