This place has 4 stars on yelp... that is the main reason why I went. The restaurant itself is small and the tables are basicly 2 inches away from each other. The decor is lackluster and stale. Every time someone came through the door they were greeted with awkward stares. The staff needs to learn how to greet people properly and create a relaxing atmosphere.
The menu was boring. I ordered the Kamikaze roll because its description looked the least boring. We also ordered the Shrimp Tempura and the Beef Negimaki. The Kamikaze roll tasted so bland and old as if it had been made the a couple nights before. The Shrimp Tempura was bland as well and only came with 1 shrimp. How ridiculous is it that a shrimp dish only comes with one shrimp and a bunch of fried vegetables!
We asked the waitress about this thinking that it was a mistake but she said that it is their custom to have the shrimp appetizer that only comes with 1 shrimp. Whatever. At that point I knew I'd never come back to this place. The Beef Negimaki was prepared well but I'm not a beef person so I'm going off my boyfriend's word.
We did not buy drinks only 2 appetizers and a sushi entree. The bill came to around $40. My final thought: you cannot always trust yelp because some people love bland food.
